YaCMaS contains a selection of site level features including a calendar, site map, access control, recent change notification and a text-only implementation of the website.
These features are used to enhance the experience of someone visiting the site, providing alternative views of site content, or presenting content that the visitor may be interested in. These features each have their own place in the site and may not be appropriate to every site that uses YaCMaS. |

Text Only Version | |

All YaCMaS sites include a 'Text Only' link to allow better accessability for those with special needs or for those who simply prefer a 'text only' version for browsing. The text-only version scales back on some of the features - for example, the navigation bar doesn't show nested content. This helps to simplify navigation. The pages are presented using very basic HTML and no formating is use allowing the the user full control over how the page appears. Along with this, the full version of the site is designed to work well in 'text based' browsers, which again addresses particular accessibility requirements, and also the whims of those who prefer to use these browsers. Give it a try. Click the TEXT ONLY link at the top of the page and browse the site. You can always switch back to the 'full-version' by clicking the 'Show Full Version' link at the top of each page. | |

A site map can be included as part of the site. The site map is automatically generated using the content structure and presents in a bulleted form making it easy to read. | |

The calendar is an optional companion to the Event Feature in the Content Manager. Using information supplied in the Event Feature, the calendar displays this information in a easy-to-read display. | |

Access control is implemented across the entire site with YaCMaS. Access can be controlled for both the administrative section of the site - allowing site maintainers to have access to the tools they need and content they manage - and the visible front end - where some users can be granted access to private pages. | |

Recent updates and changes to the website can be displayed keeping customers up to date of changes that may have been made to the site in recent times, or simply to keep the site up-to-date. | |

The Administrative section uses a tabbed interface to simplify access to content features and other elements of the administrative tools. Each content feature displays in it's own tab, allowing a clean view of that particular features contents. Features that include content for a page are highlighted in blue, making it clear where to look for content when editing an existing page. | |
